Easy to mass produce.

So I've been spending a lot of time down in my craft room, but not necessarily crafting. Today I made a couple cards that I think I'll mass produce in different colours cause they're so easy!

Crafting, but no cards yet...

Well, I've been spending a lot of time in my craft room trying to get inspired and make stuff. I usually end up spending hours surfing the net for crafty stuff and not actually making anything! I've wanted to make an advent box for my nieces and nephews for a while now but hadn't bought the "box" yet. I was at my local scrapbook store and they happened to have 2 left, ON SALE, so I bought them! I had purchased a stamp set for advent calendars that I intended to use, but the boxes came with numbers so I thought I'd go that route. If you can believe it, I finished BOTH of them in a couple of nights! Of course I did both the same cause it took me so long to finish the first. I'm actually quite happy with them, what do you think? I don't use embellishments much cause I usually make cards and don't want to give my pretty stuff away (something I'm trying to change!). I now have to find a way to get my Kiwi kids theirs. I was hoping my parents could take it with them when they visit in a couple weeks, but I don't think they have room in their luggage! My other niece and nephew live in Squamish so that will be much easier to deliver...

My other little craft I made was a mini canvas. I had a few of these laying around and after staring at it for a while, decided to go for clean and simple. It was super easy, just some sparkly ribbon and my bird punch!

Wow, has it really been a year?!?!?!

Well, well, well..... Doesn't look like I've been on here much lately! Actually, I haven't been down in my craft room for a while, I didn't even make Christmas cards this year! I have a few New Years Resolutions like everyone does, and one of them is to craft more and if I craft more, to post more! We'll see how this goes......................

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011!

Well, it's the new year and the resolutions are made. Get fit, eat healthier and craft more! We'll see how many stick. Christmas was quiet but good, going to my brothers for lunch in Squamish and then hanging out at home myself as Gord had to work. Poor guy ended up coming home early due to severe back pain, ouch!

I left making my Christmas cards late again this year due to a few reasons. No motivation (even with all the new Christmas stuff I had!), no heat and my craft room being "disassembled". We got a new furnace that started getting put in early Oct but because of a number of "hiccups" along the way, we didn't get the new one working until the week before Christmas! AND, as the furnace is located in my craft room, the whole place had to be moved around. I did manage to get some made and impressed myself by actually using patterned paper, chipboard AND ribbon! Never thought that would happen!

Here are the ones I made this year.............

It's now fall........

Wow, haven't been on here for a while! I was inspired to write after seeing Jessica had posted to her blog. Of course she posted pics of crafty stuff and I don't have anything... yet! I've been quite busy the last few months taking a course. Who would have known with my high school grades that I'd pass ALL my exams! Now onto the practical work. I've neglected my craft room for far too long, so I'm hoping to get back down there. Of course my sister is coming next week for a visit (from New Zealand!) so unless I get something done before then, it may have to wait until after. I'm sooo excited to see her and get to know her kids. It's one thing to "know" them on skype, but it's a whole other thing to get to know them for real! Can't wait!

Stay posted and hopefully you'll see some fancy pics soon.

Oops, missed these ones!

Ooops, these 2 cards should have been included in the last post! Can you believe it, 6 cards in one afternoon!

Gord having a bad day = card making for me!

OK, so we got new appliances and it hasn't gone so well. The stove was damaged, the dishwasher knocks out the breaker and the fridge is louder than Gord thought. Sooo, he wasn't having such a great day on Sunday. I decided to get out of his hair and went down to my craft room to study and do some homework. When I finished that, I thought I should make a Mother's Day card and I ended up making 5 others! CRAZY! Anyway, here they are.... Still need to figure out how to post in an "attractive" way so bear with me.
